Turbofan Engine

Having implemented the project with its resources considering Türkiye's turbofan engine needs, TEI is developing the first indigenous turbofan engine, TEI-TF6000, with 10,000 lbf with afterburner (6,000 lbf dry thrust).

This projects has a critical role in the path to meeting the needs of both Türkiye and the technological achievements for the engine of the indigenous Turkish Fighter - KAAN program. 

It is envisioned that TEI-TF10000 engine will be source of power to many manned-unmanned aviation platforms.

With the TEI-TF10000 project, Türkiye will be indigenously realizing the critical technologies regarding the afterburner turbofan engine for the first time. National companies are planned to be used for the engine accessories and sub-systems. Within this scope, it is aimed to gain knowledge and experienced manpower both at TEI and its subcontractors.
